CEVA Tiergesundheit GmbH is a company with 25 years of tradition in Germany and is based in Düsseldorf since 1999. From there they supply the German market as well as Austria and Switzerland. With the takeover of the veterinary division of IDT Biologika GmbH in 2019, they have specifically expanded their product portfolio, particularly in the vaccines. This means they are now able to cover the entire range from research and development to production and sales in Germany.
With its portfolio of innovative poultry vaccines, Ceva supports veterinary practices, farmers and hatcheries in preventing poultry diseases, reducing the use of antibiotics and improving animal welfare. As a key member, this KAM will play a crucial role in navigating the German poultry market, building relationships, and communication about the availability of their innovative vaccine portfolio. His/her expertise will directly impact their success in delivering high-quality products to their clients and the whole poultry chain.

Summary of the job
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, as Key Account Manager you are responsible for:
- Ensuring maximum market penetration for Ceva’s solutions, via the development and implementation of the Account Business Plan and approach.
- Cultivating sustainable relationships with Key Customers.
- Challenging Customers’ beliefs in order to drive behavioural changes in them.
Accountabilities
a) Market Insights and Expertise:
- In-Depth Knowledge: Stay abreast of trends, regulations, and dynamics within the German poultry market. Understand the nuances of poultry production, distribution channels, and industry stakeholders.
- Strategic Analysis: Analyse market data, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges.
- Recommendations: Provide actionable insights to the Bene-DACH poultry team based on your understanding of market dynamics.
b) Trust and Reliability:
- Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, veterinarians, and industry influencers. Be a trusted advisor to our partners.
- Consistent Performance: Demonstrate reliability and consistency in all interactions. Uphold our reputation as a dependable partner.
c) Building and Nurturing Relations:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with field veterinarians, hatchery managers and other industry professionals. Foster partnerships that drive mutual success. Be the key part of the diamond approach towards our customers.

Your background
- Knowledge of German Poultry Market: A deep understanding of the German poultry industry, including market trends, players, and stakeholders.
- Trustworthiness and Reliability: Demonstrated integrity and reliability in professional relationships.
- Relationship Building Skills: Ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and build lasting partnerships on all levels.
- Technical Support: While technical knowledge is not the primary focus of this role, familiarity with poultry vaccines and related products is an advantage.
- Hands-on mentality: While CEVA is a growing company in this area they need to execute their plans themselves with support from European and global team.
